Is 'The Chap' for us chaps?

Not quite Jeeves and Wooster but getting there!

The delightful picture (left) was taken at the annual 'Olympiad' organised by our fellow advocates of seemly traditional attire,'The Chap' magazine, founded in 1999.

It claims that it 'takes a wry look at the modern world through the steamed-up monocle of a more refined age, occasionally getting its sock suspenders into a twist at the unspeakable vulgarity of the twenty-first century.'

Held in July 2011 in what appears to be a rainswept field, the event attracted a substantial crowd, most of who had made some effort to adopt the fashions of yesteryear - though not perhaps the gentleman in fez and singlet, and it looks as though a lot of jollity, maybe some of it a little unconvincing, took place.

Well done 'The Chap'!
